Tail wheel oleo and strut
Fitted to MK III'S, MK VII's ,VIII's and MK XIV's and later MK's the retractable tail wheel was advancing the theory of a clean airframe = speed.
While there was an improvement, little was gained apart from enhancing the beauty of the Spitfire as can be seen on the PRX Spitfire PL983.This unit is a direct replacement and a faithful copy of the original.
